Profit generated by operating the individual public RUFs
The full-time let 25,000 RUFs earn a total of 365 x 25,000 x 12
= $110 million and the part-time let RUFs 365 x 25,000 x 8 = $73 million.
The users of public RUFs from parking rails pay a price of $3.5 per trip, of which $0.5 is set aside for energy and $0.5 for maintenance of cars and parking rails, etc. Each trip generates an income of $2.5.
25,000 RUFs travel daily 10 trips of $2.5 in surplus = > $625,000/day for 345 days/year = > $215 million/year in operating profit.
215 + 110 + 73 = $398 million a year.
From this amount should be deducted $250 million/year for renewal of rolling stock over a period of 3 years. A further $25 million/year shall be calculated for change of battery for the most severely exposed 25,000 RUFs.
The 50,000 public RUFs make a profit of 398 - 250 - 25 = $123 million/year.
