| The cross section of the maxi-ruf is only 2
x 2 m. The low height is possible because there are no standing passengers. With the
relatively short wheel distance it is possible to have a low floor. The rail channel is a little wider in the middle than at the wheel positions. This enables the maxi-ruf to use a curved rail with a radius of curvature of 26 m. With this curve, it is comfortable to turn at 30 km/h (8 m/sec). The channel can be used for luggage or extra passengers seated facing sidewards. |
